PEACHES

Peaches came to me one July 4th 2004 afternoon. We were having a BBQ and I already has one female dog named Ishka. Some one rang my door bell and when I opened it up, I found a box of peaches in the front of my door. There was no note or message on it, but knowing I love Peaches as a fruit so much I was happy. I brought the box in and I notice that there were holes around the box, I decided to open the box slowly and to my surprise there she was. She must have been only 2 months old. I took her out and a small note left inside said ” please take care of me” so I took her in and love her and brought her to my other female dog Ishka who took to her so well and had all the motherly qualities Peaches needed. Since then I named her Peaches. When my other dog passed, Peaches got very depressed so I rescued 4 month old Keeshound named Simba. They became the best of friends. Peaches has been with me 15 yrs. I loved her deeply and miss her so much. Now my Simba is depressed and needs a new playmate. My fear is that they live for such a short time in our lives, every time on passes they take a piece of my heart with them. I just hope and pray that I gave them the best of me and life I could and they will be waiting for me over the Rainbow Bridge. Today I sing to her favorite song ” You are my Sunshine”
