An independent cat rescuer in the North Philadelphia area attended our Taming Feral Kittens for Adoption webinar in August and immediately put her new knowledge into practice on two timid foster kittens, Shy and Spicy. She has been documenting their progress on her Facebook page, Porch Kitty Manor
“Wednesday, I did a virtual conference on socializing ferals with NYC Feral Cat Initiative. It was very informative…Shy & Spicy are only fed by hand. I let them come to me. Today was real progress. Shy came out first. She ate an entire can plus a few Temptations treats. I was worried about Spicy, but finally she popped out as well…Best part was after feeding, Shy let me rub her head and even leaned in and purred a bit.”
As we teach in our webinar, the taming potential and speed of socialization of kittens over eight weeks old can vary, even among littermates. But, with the tools and tips you’ll learn during our Taming Feral Kittens for Adoption webinar, you’ll learn how you can turn hiding hissers into confident cuddlers!
